Admissions.
We offer a flexible model of provision that allows children and young people to start with a part-time or transitional programme and, when ready, seamlessly progress to access our provision as a non-school; a wider offer working with the LA, Trusts and schools; and/or, as part of an EOTAS package. This approach ensures that our learners are supported to succeed at a pace that reflects their readiness and wellbeing, rather than a one-size-fits-all timetable and approach. By maintaining consistent communication with commissioners, families, schools and partner agencies, we ensure that each transition — whether into Sowing Seeds or beyond — is carefully planned and centred on the learner’s best interests.
Our admissions process is underpinned by a thorough Due Diligence and Induction Checklist, designed to ensure that Sowing Seeds Alternative Learning is the right provision for each child and young person. As part of this, we provide a comprehensive information pack which includes our Due Diligence and Induction Checklist, our bespoke package and price list, and an overview of our Education and Wellbeing Pathway options. This process includes gathering detailed information from commissioners, families, and current settings, alongside risk assessments, learning profiles, and wellbeing needs. We work collaboratively to establish the most appropriate Team Around the Child, carefully phasing in support as the learner transitions into our provision—whether as an emergency placement, for a short-term placement or a longer-term pathway. This gradual, responsive approach allows relationships, trust, and routines to be built at a pace that supports emotional safety, engagement, and long-term success now and in preparation for adulthood.
The pathway begins with an Initial Referral, where we work closely with parents, carers, schools, and local authorities to build a full picture of the learner’s background, strengths, and needs. This includes completion of a referral form, a detailed due diligence meeting to assess suitability and support requirements, and the creation of a personalised Learning and Wellbeing.
Referral Form
To begin the admissions process, all prospective learners must have a completed referral form submitted before we can start our due diligence procedures. This form provides essential information about each young person, helping us to assess their individual needs and ensure we can provide the right support, environment, and learning experience to help them thrive. This needs to be sent to admin@sowingseedstuition.co.uk once completed.
Meeting the Needs of Every Learner

Through our personalised approach, we cultivate a sense of belonging, purpose, and hope — empowering each learner to take confident steps toward their next stage of education, training, or employment.
